Well, it's the time of year I really don't count anymore, but the wife and kids like to rub it in. You know another year older and another year wiser. Not sure about either. My birthday present, road trip! We drove through Joplin and saw the tornado damage. The path of destruction was at least a half mile wide. It really makes you wonder at why tornadoes hit like they do. It even shredded the leaves and branches off the trees. All that was left were the stumps.
So we we checked out Wentworth Military Academy for our son, and then headed for northern Missouri. Tomorrow we're going to do some geneology research on my side of the family. Never knew there were so many Baker cemeteries in one place. Have a full day lined up, then home on Friday.
Chas and I just made a run to Wal-mart for something to eat. We're doing the microwave hotel special tonight. Not a recipe to recommend, but hey, when you're hungry, zap a TV dinner
